Trained in PRINCE2® and MSP® methodologies allows our staff to take projects and programmes from inception through to delivery utilising recognised standards and best practices. Our experience encompasses projects covering areas such as IT, Finance and HR systems. Regardless of size or complexity of the project our team tailors its processes to the needs and culture of the client. Part of this service is the knowledge transfer from our specialists to the customer project team via coaching and mentoring.
Our team has worked on a number of programmes for public sector organisations primarily in the IT arena identifying and delivering clients’ strategic objectives whilst our portfolio management activities have been concentrated on healthcare and research related projects.
Using a variety of structured methodologies we work with customer teams to establish the business needs that the project or programme is fulfilling. Our expertise is employed in requirements gathering and documenting activities, which are then used to ensure that quality criteria can be tested and met.
This is a key discipline to be included in projects to ensure independent advice and review outside the core project team. GPMS staff have acted in a project assurance role as part of the portfolio of services.
Project Health Check
Acting as an independent consultant our team has provided project health check services to customers. This brings about an assessment of how well the project or programme is performing against its objectives and how the stated processes and standards are being adhered to. This also provides an organisation with a snapshot of the project/programme status in relation to delivery timescales, risk and budget.
